The holidays are here, and we want to thank all our wonderful clients, partners, friends, and staff for making 2024 a year for the record books. It would be impossible to fit all our favorite moments into one blog, but we’re here with some greatest hits!
Our team spent plenty of time on the road and in the sky this year, sharing the value of a content-first strategy and defining passenger needs for audiences across the globe. As we settle in for the holiday season, we’re sharing our warm wishes in this year’s holiday card:
2023 was hard to beat, but this year found a way!
Synect’s Head of Strategic Engagement Montee Fiely needed a bigger suitcase for our DSA award's haul
Things kicked off with a bang at the Digital Signage Awards in Barcelona, where our clients won big—and Synect's Montee Fiely had to buy a bigger suitcase to bring home some incredible awards:
MCO and Synect’s work at Terminal C won three awards: the first for Relevant, Time Data-Driven Displays and Creative; the second for Superior Technical and Project Design; and the third for Innovation in Management and Control Software.
ABE’s security checkpoints earned a high commendation for Difference-Making Operational and Everyday Signage.
A glimpse behind the scenes at our team capturing UHD footage in San Francisco
We were on location for many great projects, capturing live-action content and helping build new airport experiences. We are delighted that our family of clients and projects grew wildly throughout the year:
We expanded our work at SFO, leveraging content-first strategy as we implemented new airlines and Passenger360® on three new check-in video walls at Harvey Milk Terminal 1.
We partnered with GEG on their Terminal Renovation and Expansion (TREX) program, taking over the airport's digital signage system, developing content-first strategy and implementing Passenger360 across three new gates, new curbside displays, and GEG's newly expanded check-in area—all in a very short timeframe!
We continued to extend our content and system at DFW and kicked off some amazing projects with more to follow next year.
We helped GOAA implement a beautiful rebrand across their airport and facilities.
We updated TSA security checkpoints around the US with educational, entertaining content that helps passengers prepare for screening.
And there’s so much more on the horizon. On top of our awards and expanded partnerships, we were delighted to be featured in some of our favorite industry publications:
Airports International featured our ReadySeeGo and Passenger360® solutions as part of an article on Emergency Messaging in April.
Airport Improvement featured Synect’s work with MCO’s Brightline in July, highlighting our role in integrating Brightline with MCO’s existing content ecosystem.
In September, Airports International highlighted key approaches to content-first strategy in a feature authored by our CEO, Yahav Ran.
Airports International featured our content-first approach again in December, sharing highlights from our FTE panel.
Capping the year off, Digital Signage Today published our FTE recap on their site in the middle of December.
None of these awards, projects, or publications would have been possible without our wonderful clients, and we were delighted to celebrate with them at industry events throughout the year. Did you meet us at any of these events?
In January, we visited Las Vegas to see all the latest tech displayed at CES.
In March, our CEO discussed how content-first strategy creates a sense of place at the Salt Lake City Airport Planning, Design, & Construction Symposium.
April took our team to New Orleans for the ACI Airports@Work Conference and Frankfurt for the MSY & Passenger Terminal Expo.
We stayed home in May to host the first-ever Synect Day in Orlando, exploring content-first strategy with industry leaders and our leadership team. Highlights of the day included exclusive tours of MCO’s Terminal C and Synect’s studio and informational sessions designed to streamline the implementation of new content-first strategies.
June kept our team busy in Florida, between the ACI Business of Airports Conference in Miami and the ISA Sign Expo in Orlando.
We headed north in September to attend ACI’s Annual Conference and Exhibition in Grand Rapids.
As Diamond Sponsors of FTE Global, we led a standing-room-only panel and attended many great presentations in Long Beach this October. Our panel, titled "Upgrading from Traditional FIDS and Legacy Digital Signage? Why Content Strategy is Vital when It's Time to Invest in a Digital Ecosystem,” included a panel of industry experts who shared their experiences with content-first strategy alongside some of their favorite tips. You can sign up here if you’d like to see the entire panel.
But the year isn’t over until our annual Synect holiday party! This year, we gathered at one of our favorite venues near Orlando for an evening of glamor, laughter, and classic casino games. Over dinner and drinks, our team took time to connect, celebrate the successes of 2024, and share their plans for 2025.
Our team had a blast at our Casino Royale themed holiday party!
We're so grateful for the great time spent with our clients, partners, and team this year!
We look forward to sharing content-first strategy with new teams and continuing our work with our wonderful clients in 2025. Bring on a new year of adventures! We hope your holiday season is full of laughter, love, and memorable moments.
