Summer has officially arrived at the Orlando International Airport, and millions of travelers are in for a big treat. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority held a press conference today to unveil new content for their massive video wall canvas, which Synect helped launch in September of 2016, and provide their latest summer travel estimates. Click Orlando reports that more than a million passengers will pass through MCO between now and July 8 in a video that features the video wall and new content.

The new digital media for the video wall includes live-action panoramic video and a fish tank themed interactive game. These experiences were lovingly crafted by Synect, with our Orlando studio leading the way.
The localization piece celebrates Central Florida, and it creates a unique sense of place at the airport. Just like every piece of content created for the digital media ecosystem at the airport, which stretches over five football fields in length, it’s a massive, custom creation. The footage is one of the first commercial applications of 8K live action capture, and the fully-produced panoramic video wall content is more than 30K.
The Fish Tank is an interactive game that’s similar to Where’s Waldo, which entertains travelers and families at the check-in area, reduces anxiety, and delivers a memorable airport experience.
“It’s been less than a year since the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority redefined passenger experience with the massive digital canvas,” Synect’s Executive Creative Director Nir Bashan said. “It’s thrilling to be creating new content for this unique ecosystem. I’m very grateful to the entire Synect team, as they’ve poured their hearts into these pieces. We can’t wait to see the public’s reaction to the new summertime experiences at the airport.”
